Our Approach

This collection is a reflection of my roots, memory, and the textures of Cypriot life, particularly the shepherding communities where I grew up. Each garment draws inspiration from the landscape, animals, and domestic rituals of my heritage—sheep and goats, traditional embroidery, and textiles passed down through generations. I incorporate hand-embroidered motifs of mosques, flowers, and livestock alongside repurposed fabrics and heirloom silks, giving new life to materials imbued with history.

Beyond craftsmanship, the collection is about narrative and care. Pieces like 'Anne Uyuyamadım' and 'Guzzum' explore themes of comfort and protection, referencing the tender relationships between animals, family, and childhood. Other pieces, such as 'Born Different,' celebrate diversity and resilience in both humans and animals, emphasizing that difference is not deficiency but a form of beauty.

Sustainability is central: many textiles are repurposed from old duvets, curtains, and fabrics inherited from my grandmothers, reflecting a dialogue between past and present. The silhouettes merge traditional forms, such as vraka-inspired trousers, with contemporary streetwear, creating a conversation between heritage and modernity.

Ultimately, this collection is an homage—to the shepherding culture of Cyprus, to my family, and to all life that embodies care, resilience, and individuality. It is both wearable storytelling and a celebration of craft, memory, and identity, culminating in pieces like 'Mother Sheep,' where tradition, texture, and avant-garde design converge to close the runway with a message of warmth, protection, and continuity.
